Purpose
What is this place, you ask? Welcome to something part innocence, part
hope, part joy. Welcome to something that searches and seeks to know,
though it may never know anything. Welcome to hope and to wonder. Welcome,
to my philosophy site.
How To Use This Site
Here you will find 15 journals based on a question, a paragraph, a phrase,
or a quote. Each journal has an accompanying flash episode, just to
simplify, or clarify my point. It's a very simple, easy-to-use site.
There are five basic areas the site explores: 1) being a philosopher,
2) the self, 3) art, 4) justice, and 5) meaning in life. I know there
are more concepts in philosophy-- an endless array, as a matter of fact.
But these were the main subjects outlined in my philosophy course. I
added some of my own quotes, just to explore some themes I wanted to
do myself. You simply sit, read, watch, and enjoy.
Copyrights
The concept for Wonderboy has nothing to do with any labels that
share the same name, not even the song "Wonderboy" by my much
beloved Tenacious D. The name just seemed to fit when I decided to kill
two birds with one stone (what a harsh metaphor) by submitting something
in for both philosophy and media arts. Here I would make a champion
of philosophy, and build a website for him, give him a sidekick, and
some flashy animation. This was how Wonderboy was born. I don't think
I'm infringing on any copyright laws. However, the concepts, ideas,
and theories I explore on this site are mine. I'm expecting, from you
decent good people, that no one would think to steal any of my intellectual
property word-for-word and pass it off as their own. Speaking about
the content of my site, I don't wish to offend anyone, for nothing I
write here is meant to offend. You can disagree with it as well. Just
take what you can from my words, and move on.
How This Site Was Made
The layout to the Wonderboy site was a joint effort between three programs:
Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, Macromedia Flash 4, and Adobe Photoshop
6.
